ITV’s This Morning came to Iron House to film a segment for their Halloween show in the quest to find Toto the dog from the Wizard of Oz. They used our Harford Street venue to film and the lounge area for a green room with all the dogs trying out for the position.
FILMING AT IRON HOUSE
Alongside our traditional events, we have seen a lot of demand for the usage of the space as a filming location. We are a converted warehouse in the centre of Birmingham in the historic Jewellery Quarter. There is ample parking onsite and the area is very quiet especially at evenings and weekends. Whether it's a independant filmmaker, university project or a large production, Iron House can fit all needs.
MULTIPLE SHOTS IN ONE LOCATION
Located in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, situated in a historic industrial building, Iron House provides production and film crews with the creative freedom to use our exposed brick walls, gallery white walls, or dark walls in our new lounge space to get different shots in the same space. Competitively priced, and very flexible, we cater for all filming needs and briefs.
A SELECTION OF OUR CLIENTS
We've been fortunate at Iron House to have worked with a number of fantastic production companies, brands, independant film makers and creatives both locally and nationally. We are always happy to discuss creative briefs and see what parts of the venues would work best.
ITV THIS MORNING
Heineken were filming a video for the launch of their asset factory, a resource that allows marketers company wide to comply with brand guidelines and took over Iron House to film with the two brains behind it. The final product isn’t a public video, but I can provide a private video link if you reach out.
As well as production based filming, we have also worked with leading brands like Manfrotto to offer masterclass sessions on a range of niche topics for passionate amateurs. We blacked out our skylights in Iron House for these to allow a completely controllable lighting setup throughout the venue.
As well as filming, we have also worked with leading brands like P&Co to offer Iron House as a versatile shoot location for their upcoming e-commerce ranges. With a mixture of white, brick, chalk, and dark walls, directors can achieve multiple shots within the same venue.
ITV This Morning's 'The Search for Toto' filmed at Iron House
A few kind words about Iron House..
Iron House is an epically sized building with a multiple of rooms to choose from. We used the grounds to host ITV This Mornings search for Toto film. The staff went above and beyond to clear all the spaces we needed the night before and set stage up and plasma screens just how we desired. The place looks amazing and has everything you’d wish for from a filming perspective and the staff there totally understood our needs and just got it. It’s a great new venue in Birmingham. Book now before someone else does. We were very happy. Thanks again to everyone that helped to make our show come to life 😉
Amazing space, great hospitality very friendly. I recommended Iron House and will definitely book again. Thank you !
“I highly recommend Iron House as an excellent event space in Birmingham. The space is very versatile and the team are super helpful. Jack was tremendously accommodating for the needs of our event and ensured that the physical alterations to the venue I requested were in place with very short notice. Our clients were absolutely delighted with our event and they expressed how impressed they were with the venue, so huge credit and thanks goes to Iron House. We will be back!”
“Iron House is an amazing venue. Not only the space but also Ross, Jack and Darren who run this very attractive new gallery. I am very proud that my students and I had the honour to be the ones who held the very first Iron House exhibition. Iron House is offering a professional and contemporary gallery space suitable in style and location to add to the ever growing art and culture scene of Birmingham and the Midlands. Space and structure allow art work to sit in an appropriately industrial and yet uplifting minimalistic setting. Ross, Jack, Darren and their team were ever helpful and flexible in accommodating our needs throughout the hanging, private view, opening period up to the take down. It was a blast!”
